:: Double column minor medallion with serrated lightening contour atop a covered field of unidirectional shrub cypress trees. wrapped by an inner minor field overlay border of a reciprocating pawn design motif and ribboned serpent inner minor border. This rug has its original latched macrame loops at the top, suggesting intended utility for the area for which it was woven as opposed to export market. Colors and shades include: Cobalt blue, dusty pale madder root red, dusty blush, ivory, chocolate brown and more. Condition notes: Mostly even short pile across. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One end measures more narrow than the other at 1'8" as opposed to 1'11", within normal margins for type and age. Localized areas of minor old moth etching to the knot heads and a few small holes. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Belouch rug mat made in Persia circa 1920's vintage.
