:: Shield-like center medallion with sharp serrated contour atop an open field with corner spandrel overlays loosely reciprocating the contour of the main medallion. Wrapped by a meandering vine and blossom main border. Great contrast throughout. Colors and shades include: Navy blue (close to black), brick red, ivory, oxidized silver, forest green, sapphire blue, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile and knot heads. Original side cord selvages intact. Mostly secure sides and ends. At one point in time this carpet possibly had an additional binding on the sides to cover the original selvages which appear to have since been removed. Basing this on very subtle old stitching remnants, which are reversable. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Malayer rug mat made in Persia circa 1940's vintage. Size measures 2'3" x 2'11".
