3x5.5 Vintage Distressed Oushak Rug

:: Oversized center medallion with outwardly directed germinating blossoms adorned by minor finials atop an open abrashed field. Corner spandrels loosely reciprocate the contour of the main medallion. Inner, outer, and main borders in a meandering vine and blossoms design motif. Heavy abrashes across. Colors and shades include: Bright brick red orange, silver, slate blue, saffron yellow, bright bubblegum pink, tangerine orange, oxidized silver, ocean green blue, and madder root red. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with small isolated areas of foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One end measures 2'10" whereas the opposing measures 3'1". This variation is within normal margins for hand knotted rugs of this type, age, and size. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use!
