3.5x5.5 Antique Anatolian Rug

:: Large oversized center medallion with interior floral blossom arrangements, and the perimeter adorned in serpent design motifs. Main border in a continuous meandering vine and germinating plant design motif in monotone shade and dynamic bold character. Colors and shades include: Burgundy, deep raspberry red, ivory, beige, sand, silver, orange, and more. Condition notes: Large areas of foundation showing through with wear across to knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides, mostly secure ends. Loss of outer minor border to both ends. A few small spots scattered throughout. One hard spot localized to the end of the carpet approximately the size of an orange, which can visually be identified as a pale grey blue spot in the upper right of the main image. This area is not cracking, but has perhaps some old stubborn residue. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Anatolian rug made in Turkey circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 3'4" x 5'3".
