:: Starburst center medallion with thousand flower design motif and inwardly directed vases of germinating plants in full bloom. Floral sprays covered throughout. Colors and shades include: Cherry burgundy red, navy blue, sky blue, blush, sand, beige, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile, knot heads and foundation. One end measures 4'3" whereas the opposing measures 4'5". This variation is within normal margins for hand knotted rugs of this type, age, and size. Ends are not secured. Multiple areas of thread bare selvage localized to one side. Likely a period correct painted rug with localized retouching of more recent pigmentation in the red field. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Sarouk rug made in Persia circa 1930's vintage. Size measures 4'5" x 6'9".
