:: Allover covered field of a staggered Herati design motif with excellent contrast, geometric contour, and brilliant gem-like shade throughout, all likely in naturally derived form. Colors and shades include: Ruby red grapefruit, deep blush, bright saffron yellow, sapphire blue, forest green, burgundy wine red, black cherry red, chocolate brown, aubergine, powder blue, and more. Condition notes: Areas of high and low pile height. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Mostly secure sides and ends. Localized areas of recess to darker shades based on mordents. Side cord selvages could use a refresh at an additional cost. One area of localized tatter to the plain weave on one end. One or two small dull areas approximately two by four inches with light paraffin embedded in the pile. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Kurdish Bijar rug made in Persia circa 1910's vintage. Size measures 4'2" x 7'4".
