:: Starburst center medallion enveloped in serrated contour and scrolled vines with partial arabesque design motif. Adorned at either end by trefoil finials atop a heavily abrashed ground covered in sprawling vines, blossoms, germinating plants, and buds. Main border in a pinwheel colorized floral top view with delicate curvilinear design interconnecting all. A tighter woven Heriz area rug attributed to the Ahar weavers. Colors and shades include: Chestnut rust, slate blue, dusty teal, dusty lime green, pale saffron yellow, oxidized silver, silver, platinum, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Ahar carpet made in Persia circa 1950's vintage. Size measures 8' x 11'8".
